We are working with a fantastic AAA game studio based in London who is looking for a talented Design Director to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a AAA studio and play an integral part of the development of an exciting unannounced title. Following the success from their previous release, this studio is looking to continue the creation of their engaging multiplayer experiences.

What you will be doing:

• Be responsible for driving the expert execution of the creative vision for the studio
• Direct the design and the Design teams
• Represent and support the needs of the business, the player and the team members
• Facilitate effective and efficient communication
• Work alongside production to create roadmaps, hiring and succession plans
• Be responsible for the output growth of the entire design discipline of your project
• Improve standards and processes across the studio and across disciplines
• Support the Creative Director in communicating the vision throughout the studio
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of all design documentation
• Manage, mentor, and develop Lead Game Designer

Who you are:

• Extensive games industry experience
• 1+ AAA title shipped from start to finish in a Design Director role or similar
• Multiple titles shipped in a leadership role
• Experience with design documentation, diagram, and flow-chart creation
• A deep understanding of all aspects of design
• An understanding of player psychology and motivations
• An understanding of systems and systematic design
• Up to date knowledge with industry trends
• Excellent English written and verbal skills
• Strong communication and visual presentation skills
• Fierce attention to detail and problem-solving skills
