Head of Business Development - Mobile Videogames – Fully remote
Our client is a leading global mobile eSports platform that enables users to participate in both free and paid competitions across more than 60 games, spanning various categories such as fantasy sports, sportsgames, puzzles, casual, and board games. They have over 100 million registered users across Asia, Europe, and North America.
This position is offered as a fully remote role with significant equity and a highly competitive salary. While the role is remote, there will be opportunities for travel for the ideal candidate.
Responsibilities:
Network Expansion & Relationship Building:
- Develop and grow a global network of connections with gaming studios, publishers, and key industry stakeholders.
- Act as the main point of contact for developers, providing support and guidance throughout their development journey.
- Identify, assess, and pursue new business prospects, including strategic partnerships, collaborations, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities, in alignment with business goals and market dynamics.
- Position the company as a leading entity in the video game industry by fostering strong relationships with both internal and external partners.
Communication & Coordination:
- Function as the primary liaison between the client, publishers, and gaming studios, ensuring communication is clear and effective.
Negotiation & Deal Making:
- Work closely with leadership to negotiate and finalize deals with potential partners.
Market Analysis & Competitive Intelligence:
- Keep track of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to predict their impact on our games, players, and strategic objectives.
- Provide market insights to support strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
Strategic Development:
- Play a key role in shaping strategies for third-party studio acquisitions and operations.
- Identify and source new games and development studios that align with the company's goals.
- Lead and support global M&A initiatives with studios.
- Adapt to the evolving needs of the business.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in Business Development, Publishing, or Partner Relations within the industry.
- Strong understanding of first-party and third-party strategies.
- Deep knowledge of deal structures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
