With new plans for expansion on their mind, they now seek a forward-thinking Game Designer to join their Midlands UK studio's talent. 

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the prototyping working with the Creative Director to define the overall vision and specific feature requirements
  • Compile clear and concise design documents that drive gameplay pacing, first user experience and the difficulty ramp of mobile games
  • Research, analyse and improve upon features and games, keeping up with trends and user preferences
  • Become the point of call on all aspects of implementation with social and mobile mechanics


Requirements:

  • Game Design experience within the games industry, ideally with at least one Mobile or Free to Play studio
  • Experience in transferring gameplay and user data into improvements on engagement
  • Creative thinker, able to come up with ideas that tackle problems in simple, elegant ways and put the player first
  • Effective communicator, conveying ideas in verbal, written and visual form, experienced in presenting concepts and ideas

Our client leads the field in their area, creating standard-setting game experiences across platforms as part of a truly global content provider. They are now seeking a Associate Producer to head up their talent at their Midlands-based UK studio. 

Responsibilities:

  • Become an integral part of the production process, interacting across diverse disciplines and departments to drive the features the studio is known for using the latest development methodologies
  • Creating, updating and maintaining schedules, using Microsoft Project or similar software, tracking software such as JIRA, and where required implement and help refine in-house planning and scheduling tools.
  • Communicating production issues and risks and track progress where relevant to ensure a satisfactory resolution.
  • Tracking and updating tasks as required by the Head of In-Game Animation/Leads.


Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience in an internal production role at a AAA studio within the games industry, with at least one AAA console title shipped
  • Excellent scheduling- and organisational skills, a natural multitasker
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Project and Excel, or similar management software
  • A keen eye for detail and an excellent verbal and written communicator across all levels
  • A practical, methodical approach to both technical and creative issues with a good understanding of art, game design and technical fundamentals, with particular consideration to console platforms

Responsibilities:

  • Work on large parts of level design to a AAA standard, while accumulating and distributing best production practices in mentoring Junior teammates
  • Collaborate closely with Environment Artists to iterate and realise whitebox environments for gameplay concepting
  • Post-concept, perform 3D modelling and proprietary tools to apply gameplay mark up post-concept and ultimately realise the environments into AAA console experiences


Requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience within the games industry in design roles and experience with at least one 3D software package (3DS Max, Maya, etc.)
  • Confidence and experience using level design tools to create functional levels highly beneficial
