Senior Combat Animator - France


We are working with a worldwide game and content developer, who have worked on numerous AAA titles for console, along with PC and mobile games.  

They are seeking a Senior Combat Animator for their studio based in France. 

Initially, this is temporary 6-month contract, with the view and potential to become a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D animation, as well as working with Mocap data.

  • Integrate animations in Unreal 4 and ensure they comply with the performance and resource constraints.

  • An excellent sense of physics, realistic movement, and animation principles to serve as a benchmark.

  • Help define combat scripting standards and ensure consistency in implementation across the project.

    Responsibilities

    Collaborate with Art Directors, Art and Code Leads, and outsourcers to plan and deliver to schedule

    Manage day-to-day operations of the art teams

    Optimise content creation pipelines in short and long-term

    Optimise memory & performance in line with the developer teams


    Requirements

    At least 4 years art management experience in charge of large teams

    Ideally experience in art production for open world games

    Multiple AAA, photo-realistic releases worked

    Demonstrable excellence optimizing: art creation pipelines, content management, technical processes, long-term scheduling, art tools

    Good communicator in English, both verbally and written

    Avid gamer
